Lissa Kjosa
SALON OWNER & PROFESSIONAL STYLIST
Lissa Kjosa is no stranger to turning a clients vision into a beautifully personalized style with only a fun and friendly discussion and some creativity.
She originally earned her cosmetology license while attending Frenship High School from 1986-1988, and is a huge advocate of vocational education. She is still involved in the Vocational Industrial Club of America to this day. After graduating from Frenship, Lissa also attended Texas Tech University, where she was a Raiderette for several years.
Lissa was married to Jon Kjosa in 1993, and has two beautiful boys, Katon and Brek who are her pride and joy. She is a very active mother, and in addition to being a female in business for herself, she also teaches both of her children in home school, is actively involved in sporting teams with both boys, and is an active member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church (along with her entire family).
Lissa loves getting to socialize with her clients, and loves her work as a professional beautician. At a young age, she dreamed of building a salon in which people could relax, be themselves and have friendly conversation in a peaceful refreshing environment. After having worked at several other establishments for the first five years of her career, and with the encouragement and help of a loyal client base and family, she founded the original Salon System 2000 in March of 1993 at the young age of 23.
Twenty two years after opening the original Salon System 2000 location, she has now expanded to a beautiful new 1800 square foot salon space (over double the original salon size) with newly updated fixtures and an open concept layout. She is excited about the future, and ready to spend the next 30+ years continuing to do what she loves and getting to continue working and interacting with her loyal friends and clients.
